Michael Squires has been writing about D. H. Lawrence and Frieda for forty years; for a decade he and his wife collected all of Frieda's letters. As well as writing widely on the Lawrences he has edited Lady Chatterley's Lover (Cambridge Edition) and D. H. Lawrence's Manuscripts. He lives with his wife and son in Blacksburg, Virginia, USA.
