Walking in Hampshire Summary

Walking in Hampshire by Mick Channer

In this guide to their native Hampshire, Nick Channer and David Foster explore the length and breadth of the county. Both are experienced and knowledgeable - together they illuminate the nooks and crannies, as well as the best-known parts, of one of England's ancient counties. From the New Forest to historic Portsmouth, from lowland to heath, they have identified and described routes that are full of historic, environmental and other interests.

About Mick Channer

Nick Channer has written over 20 walking and travel guides, including Untrodden Ways, a guide to Britain's lesser-known long-distance footpaths. He has written several books on Hampshire, and regularly writes about the county in the 'Down Your Way' section of Country Walking magazine. He has explored much of Hampshire on foot, and his travels were regularly broadcast on BBC Radio Solent's weekday afternoon show for several years.
