Pieced Hexies Deux Reviews

Every hexagon (hexie) has 1 1/2 sides so the shape is 3 wide. Fabric pieces are sewn together before they cover the paper shapes. To align these seams accurately, lines are drawn on the paper hexagons. After tacking the pieced fabric onto the paper hexagons, they are hand sewn together with silk or 60 weight thread using the English Paper Piecing method. All these techniques are explained clearly. There are 10 hexagon designs but by rearranging them countless patterns can be created. Numerous colourful diagrams show the possibilities. British Patchwork & Quilting, April 2016
