Two people meet and discover they share a love of acting, telling stories and reading Roland Barthes. They agree to meet up two or three times a month and exchange haikus and stories that occur to them after reading Barthes A Lovers Discourse: Fragments.

As their stories are exchanged the couples relationship develops, changes, and reaches a strange climax.
