The first in our SNAP Music photography series. Having started out shooting Spandau Ballet in the early Eighties, Neil s numerous commissions from record companies and the music press saw him work with most of the headline acts of the Eighties and Nineties. Amongst artists featured in the book are: Paul Weller, Wham!, Sinead O Connor, Frankie Goes To Hollywood, The Charlatans, Simon Le Bon, Bananarama, Heaven 17, The Housemartins, Duran Duran, Status Quo, Madness, Kim Wide, The Jam, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Orange Juice, The Bangles, The Cure, Go West, Level 42 and many more.

About Neil MacKenzie Matthews

Over the past 30 years Neil's work has appeared in a diverse spread of magazines and publications from The Face to The Radio Times via You Magazine, The Mail on Saturday, The L.A. Times and The Sunday Times. His portrait photography has seen him working with many interesting people from the worlds of cinema, TV, music and sport. He has directed more than 30 music videos, commercials (both under his name and as one half of Big Monday), several pilots for TV and a comedy series called Les Lives (a spin off from Vic Reeves Big Night Out) for the BBC as well as directing artists such as Paul McCartney, Barry White, Feargal Sharkey, Take That, Rowland Rivron, David Walliams and Simon Pegg.
