The book records the authors efforts to address important problems in international legal theory and to engage other scholars who were also addressing these problems. As well as demonstrating Onufs own constructivist contribution to the theoretical dimension of international law and international relations, each piece is preceded by a short introduction which highlights the wider themes and developments which have occurred in the field of international law in the last forty years.

About Nicholas Onuf

Now retired, Nicholas Onuf taught at Georgetown, American and Florida International Universities and has been a visiting professor in Brazil, Japan, Sri Lanka and the US. He wrote World of Our Making and The Republican Legacy in International Thought and has co-authored or edited four other books.
