Developments in British Social Policy Summary

Developments in British Social Policy by Nick Ellison

This new edition of an acclaimed undergraduate text offers both a critical commentary on the core areas of social policy in Britain - particularly as they have developed under the auspices of the New Labour government - and an appraisal of the key ideas currently informing British welfare policy. It thus combines discussion of staple topics with original arguments about the new shape of social policy at the start of the twenty-first century.

Developments in British Social Policy Reviews

Reviews of the first edition: 'this book provides a clear guide to the issues raised in a debate that looks set to continue for another quarter-century.' - Rudolf Klein, Health Service Journal 'an excellent social policy text, impressive in its scope and standard..' - Derek Kirton, British Journal of Social Work
