Developing Performance Indicators for Higher Education: A South African Case Study by Nico Cloete
As South African higher education tries to come to grips with differentiated policy, performance indicators become key. This title offers a country case study of the development of performance indicators in the context of international experience of, and debates about, the development and role of performance assessment and indicators. It also proposes a joint project with a selected group of other African countries, the purpose of which will be the strengthen capacity and construct a more commonly understood discourse amongs countries on the same continent.
