This book was written to aid the dental and dental hygiene student in preparing for national, regional and state licensing examinations. It also serves as a self-testing instrument for the general practitioner (Continuing education course textbook). The text is divided into three parts: Part 1 - Approximately 500 review questions with accompanying photographs on oral diagnosis, oral medicine and radiology. Part 2 - Approximately 400 review questions with accompanying photographs on comporehensive treatment planning. The following subject areas are included - oral medicine, periodontics, endodontics, restoratorative dentistry, removable prosthodontics, pediatric dentistry, medical emergencies, pharmacology, common medical entities, CPR, forensic dentistry, medical laboratory values and preventative dentistry. Part 3 - case analysis, taking the reader through diagnosis and treatment planning for two comprehensive cases. An answer key is provided for all three parts.
