The Oxford-Duden Pictorial Chinese-English Dictionary by Oxford University Press
In this dictionary parallel English and Chinese word-lists contain a total of 28,000 items from each language. The words are linked by number to the 384 picture sections, which are divided by subject to cover typical situations in everyday life including recreation and sport, flora and fauna, industry, the arts and technology. Every vocabulary item is indexed in English and Chinese (by radical) so that the dictionary can be used in both directions. Differences between British English and American English are also recorded. The indices refer the reader to various subjects and contexts in which a word can be used and this provides not only a guide to the correct translation, but also a key to the entire subject. This book may be of use to students, business people and translators.
