Free Lance and the Lake of Skulls Reviews

Thrilling, gruesome and comic all at once, the authors drawing scenes and characters brilliantly in very few words -- LoveReading4Kids
You tend to feel sorry for Free Lance's journey through hell and back, though there's a fair bit of laughing to do first -- Fantasy Book Review, Blog
The dream team of Stewart and Riddell are on fantastic form for this outing. The language is simple ... yet loses none of Stewart's trademark fantasy wit and grandeur -- BookTrust
Owes a lot to Beowulf and more to pulp fiction: close scrapes with monsters and villains, wisecracks, double and triple crossings and plenty of Tarantinoid violence -- Books for Keeps
Very well told ... an easy pleasure -- The Bookbag
