Innovation in Technology and Organization by Peter A. Clark
Innovation has replaced efficiency as the dominant problem for all types of organizations. Yet innovation has been the Achilles heel of the organization sciences. Orthodox organization design had neglected innovation in the product, the production process, the international market, corporate expertise and other areas in search of simplistic recipes. Addressing both the innovation-diffusion and the innovation-design perspective, "Innovation in Technology and Organisation" assesses radical and incremental innovation as part of a total process. It provides a different approach for all those concerned to develop a policy-oriented theory of strategic innovation.
