Practical Skills in Sport and Exercise Science Reviews

In general this is an excellent book and my decision to adopt it is based on the growing need to improve student's transferable skills and that is where this book excels - Dr Richard Godfrey, Department of Sports Science, Brunel University This will be a useful reference text for students starting their final year projects, as it outlines/reviews many of the techniques used previously by students. I also like the integration of key skills and soft skills into the text, which allows for constant reminders to students over the year of the research process. I find the layout of the book less intimidating and more practically based than some in the area of research methodology which I think the students will appreciate - Dr Bob Hogg, School of Health, Natural & Social Sciences, University of Sunderland An excellent text, very thorough and inclusive - Christina Jacklin, Senior Lecturer, BASES Accredited Sport & Exercise Scientist (Psychology Support) Very useful overview of skills - Dr Ian Kenny, Biomechanics Research Unit, Departments of Physical Education & Sports Science, University of Limerick
