The concept of an explicit professional ethical code for the police force has been accepted. But how is it to be put into practice? How should police officers deal with the moral dilemmas they face as part of their everyday working lives? This work seeks to provide practical guidance for police officers on how to make the most effective decision when faced with problems that have moral or ethical implications. The author provides an introduction to ethics, whilst each chapter contains examples and case studies and concludes with activities and a short test so that readers can apply what they have learnt.
