In photographs, paintings, words and even embroidery, it captures the varied beauty of our living skyline. Without trees the countryside would be a bleak, inhospitable place, but in recent years it has become apparent how fragile trees are - vulnerable to acid rain, Dutch elm disease, gales and developers. The Woodland Trust is in the forefront of the battle to save our trees, and all royalties from this book will be used to further their efforts to purchase and preserve threatened woodlands.
