The popular and familiar lyrics to "Row, Row, Row Your Boat" are extended into a real story. After the boat is rowed downstream, it stops at a magical island where two children meet up with monkeys, elephants, and even a lion. Then it's time to run as fast as they can back to the safety of their boat before the lion catches them! Full color.

Row, Row, Row Your Boat Reviews
"A boy, girl, and their toy rabbit reenact the traditional song. The story begins with a peaceful water scene; the line 'Life is but a dream' signals the start of an adventure. The children head for open sea, jump off on an island, and meet jungle animals. When they come across a lion, they wonder if he will have them for his tea and quickly head back to their little boat. They continue to row merrily, wondering, 'Was it just a dream?' Music is included opposite the title page. Softly lined, gently colored illustrations are childlike, well composed, and effectively placed on each double-page spread to show movement and relative size."--School Library Journal
