About Rene van der Veer

Rene van der Veer is Casimir professor of the History of Education at Leiden University in the Netherlands. One of his research interests is the history of Soviet developmental psychology and education. He has published numerous articles and co-authored and edited about a dozen books, including Understanding Vygotsky (1991), The Vygotsky Reader (1994), and The Social Mind (2000).
