The Vanishing Tribes of Burma by Richard K. Diran
This volume documents in photographs the 34 different tribes of Burma. As an anthropological order, these tribes reflect the wide diversity of races in Burma: many, living only miles apart, speak entirely different languages and have completely different ways of life. The book contains anthropological and geographical information about the tribes. The tribes are being resettled by the present government, so this work also acts as a political commentary.
