"Who would have thought that buying the latest textbook was almost as cool as buying the latest mobile phone? The author, Professor Richard van Noort, lectures dental students at the University of Sheffield. As one of his students, I have been able to witness the Professor's impeccable knowledge of past, present and future dental materials. The great show of enthusiasm and passion he displays as a dental materials university lecturer mirrors ever page in his textbook. I used the 3rd edition quite extensively and it was one of my favourite textbooks before the 4th edition came out! Besides the lack of colour, I could not think of many ways that would improve the 3rd edition but how wrong was I?
