This report deals with the basic theory of chemistry from the standpoint of thermodynamics, quantum mechanics and spectroscopy, statistical mechanics and kinetics, and macroscopic and microscopic structures. New chapters on macromolecules and surface dynamics have been added, as well as improved derivations and enhanced explanations to make them clearer.
