This is a great text and a perfect fit for the course I teach for Eastern Kentucky University. It doesn't try to be a combined principles of micro/macro text: Carbaugh focuses on economic reasoning and issues. The book is both instructor and student friendly without sacrificing content. It strikes a nice balance of challenging students while fostering their academic success in learning economic analysis. -- Chris Phillips, Somerset Community College
The text is written in a very user-friendly, highly accessible style that draws in the reader. The introduction to and overview of basic macro and micro theory are at just the right level for an introductory text and the many applications of the theory are current, relevant and engaging. -- John Olienyk, Colorado State University
It is the most globalized book that I have seen yet for this course. -- Barry Kotlove, Edmonds Community College (on the previous edition)
My students are consistently impressed by how up to date the contemporary issues are. -- Laurence J. Malone, Hartwick College (on the previous edition)
I definitely like this text. It seems to be very current, uses relevant applications, and is easy to read and understand. -- Vicki D. Rostedt, University of Akron (on the previous edition)
