About Roger T. Kaufman
ROGER T. KAUFMAN is a Professor of Economics at Smith College. He received his doctorate in economics from MIT in 1978. He has taught courses in macroeconomics, labor economics, mathematical economics and health economics. In 1998 he was awarded the all-college Senior Faculty Teaching Award. His recent research projects include an analysis of gain-sharing on productivity and wages, several topics concerning the economics of higher education, and wage and employment structures in Japan. He has received a Fulbright Research Fellowship, a fellowship from the EEC, and an Austin Fellowship.
