About Ronald Jurgen

Ronald K. Jurgen was formerly a senior editor at IEEE Spectrum, where he specialized in automotive and consumer electronics writing and editing. Jurgen is the editor of the Digital Consumer Electronics Handbook (McGraw-Hill, 1997), the Society of Automotive Engineers' (SAE) Progress in Technology series of books on automotive electronics (now being published), and their three-volume history of automotive electronics (1998). He is also an assistant editor of the Electronics Engineers' Handbook, 4e (McGraw-Hill, 1998). His memberships include SAE, the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc., where he is a Life Senior member, and the IEEE
