MGA 1955-1962 Summary

MGA 1955-1962: The Essential Buyers Guide by Roy Crosier

Judged by many to be the most attractive MG ever produced, the MGA is not only good-looking, but also fun to drive, coping very well with modern traffic demands. In this book you will find advice on choosing the right model, and discussion about potential ownership costs. Practicality and comfort are considered, allowing you to assess suitability for touring, and issues of legality, originality and roadworthiness are also raised. With information for a quick and easy condition evaluation, leading if required to a more serious one with a unique marking system, plus 100 colour photographs, this is a must-buy for anyone thinking of purchasing an MGA.

About Roy Crosier

Now retired, Roy Crosier was an engineer by experience, although a physicist by training. He has owned an MGA Twin Cam for over 40 years, and has done all the rebuilding work on it, including welding, bodywork, painting, mechanical, and electrical. He also takes care of all servicing and tuning of the Twin Cam. When requested, Roy carries out appraisals of MGAs for overseas purchasers. Roy is a keen and active member of his local MG group and organises visits, rallies, and tours, including trips to France. --- David Sear was born in Hemel Hempstead, Hertfordshire in 1947, and remembers well the launch of postwar British sports cars in the 1950 and 1960s. He has owned and maintained a variety of MG sports cars since 1970, and is a true MGA enthusiast. David currently drives a 1600 Coupe, and takes part in local and international tours, which he also helps organise.
