The first in a series of books set in Mistworld, an outlaw planet and last of the rebels against the vast and tyrannical Empire to survive. Protected by a psionic shield, but denied the benefits of empire technology, it is a hard and unforgiving home. The author also wrote "Blue Moon Rising".
