A senior partner in the firm of insolvency accountants Cork Gully, he has ranged out beyond the confines of the money men into the domain of the arts, guiding the Philharmonia Orchestra, London Festival Ballet and the Royal Shakespeare Company. He has held such diverse positions as Lord Mayor of London, Vice Chairman of the Arts Council and Chairman of the Royal Shakespeare Company.
