The F-15C and F-15E have formed the backbone of US and coalition operations in the Middle East for over a decade, enforcing the will of the international community through direct military action and functioning as a military presence to underpin diplomatic efforts. Operations Southern Watch and Northern Watch provided the basis for these actions and are both under-publicised success stories that saw each plane engaged in important operations. This book examines the central role that these two aircraft have had in a range of operations, culminating in their use by the USAF in Operation Iraqi Freedom, launched in March 2003.
