Maddie Stewart's first children's picture book, Peg, was praised by Books Ireland as a simple rhyming story with universal appeal. Maddie has three sons, to whom Clever Daddy is dedicated, and she lives in a beach house in Coney Island, Ireland. Brita Granstrom is Swedish. She studied Graphic Design and Illustration for five years at Konstfack, Sweden's National School of Art and Design. In 1996 she won the Smarties Book Prize Silver Award for The World's Full of Babies and in 1997 she won the TES Junior Information Book Award for What's Under the Bed? For Walker she has illustrated Eyes, Nose, Fingers and Toes; Ring-a-ring O'Roses; Mick Manning's Sam's ABC and Sam's 123; Judy Hindley's Does a Cow Say Boo?; and Molly and the Beanstalk, a Sprinters title by Pippa Goodhart, as well as several Brand New Readers titles.
