Susan G. Taylor, PhD, RN, FAAN, is Professor Emerita, Sinclair School of Nursing at University of Missouri-Columbia. Dr. Taylor has presented nationally and internationally on Orem's Self Care Theory. She has published extensively in relation to self-care deficit nursing theory including co-authoring Self-Care Theory in Nursing. She is the recipient of many awards, including Alumnae of the Year from Alverno College, Missouri Tribute to Nurses Nurse Educator, Kemper Fellow for Teaching Excellence, and the MO Alumni Association Faculty Award.
||Katherine Renpenning, MScN is President/Chief Nursing Consultant, MCL Educational Services, Inc. in Vancouver, BC, Canada. She consults nationally and internationally in relation to self-care deficit nursing theory in research, education, and practice for healthcare institutions and the British Columbia (CAN) Ministry of Health. In addition to other publications, she is co-author of Self-Care Theory in Nursing and Nursing Administration in the 21st Century: A Self -Care Theory Approach. Ms. Renpenning is President of the International Orem Society.
