About Susie Maguire

Susie Maguire used to do stand-up, sing a capella, and present TV programmes. She has performed on stage, radio, film and TV, has written comedy and drama for radio and television, and is currently the Book of The Moment columnist for The Herald. Her first collection, The Short Hello (Polygon, 2000), featured as a week of readings on Radio 4; her next project, Little Black Dress, a portfolio of new stories created for Radio 4, is due for publication in late 2005 by Polygon, and it is a must-have collection of frocky tales by fifteen established female writers. Susie was contributing editor to three anthologies for Polygon: Scottish Love Stories (1995), Hoots!: An Anthology of Scottish Comic Writing (1997) and Something Wicked, Something New: New Scottish Comic Writing (2000).
