Strength of Materials and Structures by The late John Case
Strength of materials and structures is a core subject for all students of mechanical, civil and aeronautical engineering. This text has now been updated and expanded so that it covers the whole of the undergraduate's course requirements from first to final year. It includes modern numerical techniques such as matrix and finite element methods, and also features a new introductory chapter covering the applications of elementary mathematics to some problems involving simple statics. Other important topics featured include the plastic theory of rigid jointed frames and experimental strain analysis. An ELBS/LPBB edition is available.
