To coincide with the Earth Summit, the United Nations Environment Programme held a photographic competition with the theme title of "Focus on Your World". 32,000 photographs were submitted from more than 140 countries by photographers of all ages, professional and amateur alike. Entrants were invited to express their visions of a world either in celebration or condemnation of its present condition. This book includes over 220 of these photographs.
