Napiers Herbalists of Edinburgh had inauspicious roots, they were founded in 1860 by Duncan Napier, a man with little formal education. Napiers' today has branches in Edinburgh and Glasgow, a successful mail-order business and continues to grow in the e-commerce age. This title tracks the history of Napiers Herbalists, and places it in the context of increasing interest - and increasing competition - in modern complimentary medicine.
