For nearly 20 years, Superintendent George Lawlor was head of the Murder Squad in Ireland. This book is a collection of the murders he investigated and solved in the course of his career. Lawlor helped establish the Garda Technical Bureau which provided a scientific foundation for the investigation of crime in Ireland and it was his work which resulted in the Gardai having one of the highest murder detection rates in the world. This selection of murders includes some done for love, jealousy, and hatred.
