The Royal and Ancient Golfer's Handbook: 1990 by Volume editor Mark Wilson
The golf world's oldest book of reference has a new patron - the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews. The governing body of golf lends its prestige to this authoritative annual that is now in its 87th year of publication. It is a guide for all those who play or administer the game. Also joining the editorial team this time is Mark Wilson, former "Daily Express" golf correspondent, author of several golfing titles, and currently Director of Communications for the PGA European Tour. It includes reviews of professional, amateur and women's golf by top writers; an expanded section for important results and records; and a comprehensive 1990 schedule of international tournaments. The directory of British and European golf clubs has been enlarged and updated along with the "who's who" in world golf. There are sections on interesting facts and unusual incidents, the rules of golf, and a chapter on the handicapping system.
