For the fourth edition this practical manual has been completely rewritten and expanded to take into account the developments in diabetes management in the ten years since the last edition. The number of chapters has been increased from 15 to 23 and the book is now divided into five main sections covering the basic principles of diabetes and its biochemistry, principles of treatment, diabetic complications, special situations and diabetic care.
