Starting with the founding of the club in 1882, the author goes on to describe the Southern League Championship in 1907/8 and 1911/12, and the Southern Charity Cup in 1912/13. He details the Third Division (South) years, including the Championship in 1947/48 and promotion into the Second Division in 1967/68, 1972/73 and 1982/83. The club's 118 year history has seen some footballing greats, all featured and illustrated in this work.
