Haunted by the death of her cameraman in Bosnia, Christa Keith takes a year's sabbatical from her job as war correspondent. She takes a visiting fellowship at Oxford but is soon battling the deep-rooted chauvanism of her employers and gets involved with a group of militant animal rights activists.
