This book contains practical information from the YMCA. It will help readers: understand the causes of back pain and various treatment options; learn how to exercise to help prevent painful back problems; discover ways to reduce back pain when it occurs. The centrepiece of the programme consists of a selection of illustrated exercises readers can use to improve the health and fitness of their back. The exercises are divided into three intensity levels, enabling readers to start slowly and work up to a 20-minute workout.
