Contains black and white photographic frontispiece, with other plates and illustrations throughout. Pages and plates and lightly tanned, but text and images remain clear. Binding is firm. Pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with library label to pastedown opposite. Boards and spine have minimal shelf-wear, with mild corner bumping and crushing to ends. Gilt remains bright. Unclipped jacket. Light tanning and foxing to all surfaces. Moderate edgewear, with light chipping to spine ends, and noticeable tears to panels. Some tape to tears.
