Marbled end papers and text block edges. Several pages detached. Pages have mild tanning and foxing throughout, moderate at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Front free end paper, half title, frontispiece and page 47 are all detached but present. Heavy cracking at the hinges with exposed binding thread. Occasional heavy thumbing and marking. p47 has edge tears and creases not affecting the text. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Peeling and loss to leather, particularly the spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Mild crushing to spine ends. Minor damp and dust stains. Top edge of text block is dust marked. Slight cracking to joints.
