Reprint . 400 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt titles and decoration. 'W H Smith and Son' embossed stamp to top edge of front free endpaper, with previous owner plate to front pastedown. Severe cracking to hinges causing boards to be loose. Binding throughout remains firm with all pages attached. Pages are moderately tanned and foxed throughout, heavier at end-papers, paste-downs and text-block edges. Boards have moderate edge-wear with bumping to corners and rubbing to surfaces. Heavy crushing to spine ends, with noticeable splits causing cloth to be frayed. Visible tanning to spine. Gilt lettering is darkened. Noticeable marks and scratches overall. Book has a slight forward lean.
