Pages are lightly tanned with moderate foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Former owner's pencil inscription to front free endpaper, with grey rub marks and a few small nicks along text block edge. Gutters are slightly cracked with binding exposed. Binding remains firm. Beige water staining and black mould to rear endpaper and paste-down, with staining reaching page 676. Rear pages are slightly crinkled due to water damage. Plates are bright and clear, with slight tanning and foxing to edges. Residue drop to lower edge of pages 51-58. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with mild bumping to corners and notable rubbing to surfaces. Heavy tanning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Boards are subtly bowed.
