1878. No Edition Remarks. 304 pages. No dust jacket. Decorated red cloth covered boards with gilt. Unevenly cut text block. Pages are moderately tanned and occasionally foxed throughout. Hinges are cracked with exposed netting. Contents page and one section of text detached. Both present. Some occasional moderate to heavy cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends, with fraying cloth and small splits. Gilt lettering has become dull. Hole to spine cloth and tail.
