Flat signed by the author, Paget Toynbee, to limited edition page. College copy with library plate to front pastedown, and stamps to contents page and a few pages throughout. Rough-cut pages are mildly tanned with slight foxing throughout. More pronounced to text block edges and free endpapers. Mild cracking to gutters on occasion, exposing netting. However binding remains firm. Small tears and creases to edges, more pronounced to pages 101-104, slightly affecting text. However it remains readable. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping. Visible tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to spine ends. Sunning marks to boards. Minor chipping to spine label, with slight paper scuffing across spine. Book is slightly bowed and forward leaning.
