1897. No Edition Remarks. 355 pages. No dust jacket. Decorative green cloth with gilt lettering. Translated by Laura Ensor. Contains black and white illustrations by Rossi & Myrbach. Title and first page loosened but attached. Ex-Libris plate stuck to front pastedown. Noticeable cracking to hinges, with exposed netting. Pages remain bright and clear with minimal tanning and foxing. More pronounced to endpapers, pastedowns and text block edges. Top corner of title page clipped, with text unaffected. Binding is weakened, however text block remains secure. Boards have noticeable edge wear with corner bumping and rubbing to surfaces. Mild tanning to spine and edges with some crushing to ends. Book has a slight forward lean. Gilt lettering is dulled. Brown staining to front board.
