Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Ownership plate stuck to front pastedown. Rough cut pages with deckled edges. Binding remains firm. A few edge tears, edge marking and creases, as expected with rough cut paper. Slight smoky odour overall. Boards have pronounced edge-wear with heavy bumping to corners, with some peeling, and rubbing to surfaces. Gilt lettering is darkened. Moderate sunning to spine and edges with crushing to spine ends. Notable splits to spine ends. Visible wear marks to boards with mild stains; notable reddish scratches to rear. Slight surface peeling.
