Frontispiece and preceding leaves detached with tape to gutter. Pages have medium tanning and foxing throughout. Illustrations are moderately tanned with some foxing. Previous owner's inscriptions to pastedowns. Staining to rear free endpapers. Some water staining and notable creasing to some pages but text remains clear. Small marginal tear to fold of cathedral engraving. Boards have heavy shelf-wear with bumping and peeling to corners. Wear and mild staining to surfaces. Slight crushing to spine ends. Chipping to leather to edges. Pen and blind inscriptions to boards. Slight loss of leather to surface of rear board.
