Pages are moderate tanned with light foxing to endpapers and text block edges. Cracking to rear hinge and gutters, with exposed netting. Binding remains firm. Former owner's inscription and large closed tear to front free endpaper. Occasional thumb-marking present throughout. Plates are moderately tanned with foxing present. Minor dog-eared corners, with a few small nicks along text block edge. Boards have moderate shelf-wear with noticeable bumping and fraying to corners, and rubbing to surfaces. Light tanning to spine and edges, with visible fraying to spine ends. Liquid drops on spine and rear board. Gilt lettering is bright and clear, with a tear to lower joint.
