Brown staining of varying size to pages throughout. Notable foxing and tanning to endpapers and page edges. Some gutter cracking. Pages 96-100 and 225-240 very loose and only attached by binding string. Some other pages are also loose but not detached. Front hinge cracked. Pages are rough cut along top edge. Slight water stains to rear endpaper and pastedown. Moderate wear and bumping to spine, board edges and corners, with crushing to spine ends. Notable sunning to spine, with scuffing, staining and marking to boards. Small splits (approx. 1cm) to spine ends. Book has a forward lean. Boards slightly bowed. Gilt very dulled.
